REGISTRATION/INSURANCE...

Each team must pay a registration fee of $64 by week 3 of the season. Junior registration is $10 per player.

NOTE: As part of the team registration the centre now offers Participant Insurance for every player.

Players must have their full details recorded on the team card (including fill-ins, unless they registered in another team.)

For full coverage details or to find out how to claim please see centre noticeboards or call the centre.

GAME FEES...

Weekly team game fee is $112 which must be paid in full, no matter how many players a team has; Individual junior game fee is $7.

THE GAME...

This is a ball game using reflex skills honed over time. Combined with an adaption of outdoor cricket skill likened to a hit and run situation. Subject to ability, kids can start as young as 6 years to as old as you like. The older juniors are also encouraged to play mixed or low grade mens. Females are well catered for with ladies and mixed competitions and some even play full-on in mens grades.

RULES OF THE GAME...

8-a-side. Batting pairs bat for 4 overs each innings for a total of 16 overs; each bowler must bowl 2 overs, so participation is fair & full-on. A copy of the rule book is issued to team captains on request.

TEAM GRADING...

Mens grades range from 'A' to 'F', with teams mixed and matched for 3-5 weeks, then placed into set grades for the remaining 15-20 weeks. Finals are played over 1 week with Grand Finals & Trophy Presentations held on a Friday night. Ladies and Mixed depend on team numbers. If there was only up to 8 teams, they would all stay in one grade for fixtures, but split into two grades for finals.Juniors are graded as individuals and swapped around during grading to even things up as far as possible. If you want to play in the same team as a mate, that is okay. We encourage girls to integrate with the boys, and in fact, many are at least as good as, if not better at the game! The younger ones have helpers on court throughout the game.
