REGISTRATION/INSURANCE... Each senior team must pay a registration fee of $63 by week 3 of the season ; Daytime comp & Juniors pay a rego/insurance fee of $10 per player. NOTE: As part of the team registration the centre now offers Participant Insurance for every player. Players must have their full details recorded on the team card (including fill-ins, unless they registered in another team.) For full coverage details or to find out how to claim please see centre noticeboards or call the centre.
GAME FEES... Weekly game fees for Ladies, Mixed & Mens is $91.00 which must be paid in full, no matter how many players a team has; Daytime comp game fees are $56.00; Juniors game fee is $7 per player. Students receive a $1 discount off senior fees.
THE GAME... Very much like the outdoor game, but the nets, which would normally be 'out' lines can be played off to keep the ball alive, making this a much faster, fluent game, with no time wasted chasing out balls etc. and less stopages. With modified rules (lower hoop height etc.), kids start as young as six and can play on to any age! Males can play in mixed/mens/daytime/junior competitions - beginner to representative level. Teams are graded on the overall capability of the team - the captain may be a State player, add a mix of fair players to beginners in the team, and you have the formula for a good, fun season of indoor!! Daytime netball has free child minding/morning tea!
RULES OF THE GAME... A copy of the rule book is issued to team captains on request; most are 7-a-side fixture competitions.
TEAM GRADING... Ladies and mixed grades range from 'A' down to 'G' with teams being mixed and matched for 4-6 weeks, then placed into set grades for the remaining 15-20 weeks; finals are over 2 weeks. Older Juniors have a structured team fixture competition, including an umpire development program; also, there is a 'rugrat' session of training mixed with games for littler ones. |
